Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s love story is one of Bollywood’s most-talked about affairs. Boney Kapoor fell in love with the Sadma actress while he was still married to his first wife Mona Shourie. But when the producer first proposed to her, she distanced herself for six months as Boney Kapoor was married and a father of two children.

“It took me nearly five or six years to convince her. When I proposed, she was shocked and asked me, ‘You’re married and have two kids, how can you even say this to me?’ After that, she didn’t speak to me for six months,” Boney Kapoor recalled in a throwback interview with ABP.

Things took an unexpected turn when Sridevi’s mother fell ill in 1995. Boney Kapoor stood by her like a rock-solid support and they came close to each other.

“Sri had begun drawing towards me,” he recalled in another interview.

After Sridevi’s death, Boney Kapoor keeps on sharing throwback pictures and anecdotes on his social media feed.

Sharing a mesmerizing picture of the film veteran, Boney Kapoor wrote, “Elegance & Grace of a true Queen.”

On Holi, Boney Kapoor shared an adorable picture of his late wife. Sridevi’s face is seen smeared with vermillion. The caption on the picture read, “Holi was happiest.”

1. Bhool Chuk Maaf (May 23) – Theatres

After multiple delays, Bhool Chuk Maaf will be released in theatres this week. The film follows Ranjan, played by Rajkummar Rao, who gets trapped in a time loop just before his wedding to Titli, played by Wamiqa Gabbi. He repeatedly wakes up on the day of his Haldi ceremony, trying to break free from the loop. 

2. Kesari Veer (May 23) – Theatres

The film marks the Bollywood comeback of actor Sooraj Pancholi. He plays the role of warrior Hamirji Gohil, who fought to protect the Somnath Temple from invading forces. Kesari Veer also features Suniel Shetty, Vivek Oberoi and Akansha Sharma in key roles. 

3. Lilo & Stitch (May 23) – Theatres

The animated flick narrates the story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family. It is a remake of the original Lilo & Stitch film, released in 2002. 

How to beat the Monday blues? Take a cue from Alia Bhatt. The actress shared a fun picture with sister Shaheen Bhatt’s boyfriend Ishaan Mehra. The picture shows Alia and Ishaan posing for the camera while they relax in a  swimming pool. Dressed in a red swimsuit, Alia looks super happy. The caption on the picture read, “Gloomy Monday + Pool boot camp, powered by Ishaan Mehra.”

Last month, Shaheen Bhatt introduced her boyfriend to the world. On Ishaan’s birthday, Shaheen shared some cosy pictures featuring herself and the birthday boy. The caption read, “Happy Birthday, Sunshine.”

Alia Bhatt is set to make her Cannes debut this year. After she shared an emotional post for the Indian soldiers following the Pahalgam attack and the Operation Sindoor, there’s speculation she might have cancelled her Cannes venture.

Chunky Panday and Ananya Panday often dish out father-daughter goals. Recently, the duo lit up the stage with an adorable performance on the song Main Tera Tota at an award show. A video was shared by Chunky Panday on Instagram. Obviously, it is viral.

The clip opens to a group of dancers escorting Chunky Panday to the stage. Next, the film veteran and his daughter groove to the beats of the ’90s hit. Ananya Panday embraced desi charm in a golden embroidered blouse and green dhoti-styled skirt. Meanwhile, Chunky Panday looked dashing in a black suit.

Ananya Panday’s flawless moves, combined with Chunky Panday’s playful expressions, were a hit. After the performance, Ananya bows down to her father and shares a warm hug with him.

Main Tera Tota is a part of Chunky Panday’s 1988 film Paap Ki Duniya. The action drama, directed by Shibu Mitra, also features Sunny Deol, Shakti Kapoor, Neelam Kothari and Danny Denzongpa in key roles.

RJ Mahvash, who is rumoured to be dating Yuzvendra Chahal, called him “caring, humble and nice”, leaving fans intrigued about their relationship  one more time.

In a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Mahvash was asked which quality she wants to steal from the star cricketer. “His niceness and how humble he is,” she said, adding, “He is genuinely one of the most caring people you’ll ever come across. He’s always available for the people he loves. I’d definitely steal that part of him.”

Rumours of RJ Mahvash and Yuzvendra Chahal emerged during the star cricketer’s divorce procedures.

The speculation gained traction again after the two were seen enjoying a Champions Trophy match in Dubai. 

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma got married in December 2020 in Gurgaon and quickly became a fan-favourite couple on social media.

In February 2025, they were spotted outside Bandra Family Court, filing for divorce by mutual consent. They also requested a waiver for the six-month cooling-off period, but the court denied it.

After 18 months of living separately, Yuzvendra and Dhanashree officially parted ways on March 20, 2025.

According to reports, Yuzvendra Chahal paid ₹4.75 crore as alimony to Dhanashree Verma.

The trailer of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Thug Life, which released on Saturday, has received a mixed response online. While fans welcomed the reunion of Haasan and filmmaker Mani Ratnam, some viewers raised concerns over specific intimate scenes – particularly a romantic moment and a kiss involving the 70-year-old actor.

On Reddit, a user shared a screenshot from the trailer showing a romantic scene between Kamal Haasan and Trisha Krishnan, along with an image of Haasan kissing actor Abhirami. 

The post was captioned, “Noo god please no,” and sparked a discussion about the noticeable age difference between Haasan and his co-stars. Haasan is 70, while Trisha and Abhirami are 42.

“Trisha is just 3 years older than shruti hassan btw,” one Reddit user wrote. Another added, “Only 30 years apart. Practically soulmates!” A third comment read, “Abhirami and Kamal sharing a lip lock with a 30 year old difference seems odd.”

Thug Life is directed by Mani Ratnam and features Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan in lead roles. The film follows the journey of a gangster who mentors a young boy through the world of crime. As years pass, the boy, played by Silambarasan-grows into a trusted ally.

Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda told a gathering that the people of India “bow with the highest respect at the feet of the armed forces”

Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda has slammed the opposition Congress for twisting his words from an address that he gave to volunteers who came for training in civil defence.

Mr Devda, referring to the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s subsequent strikes in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, told the gathering that the people of India “bow with the highest respect at the feet of the armed forces”, and also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving a decisive response to Pakistan.

“We have seen [in Pahalgam] tourists were singled out, their religion were identified, the women were taken aside and the men were shot dead in front of their family members, in front of their children. Ever since then, the people of this country will not rest till we take revenge against the terrorists and those who support them,” the Deputy Chief Minister said.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s response is commendable. The entire country today bows at the feet of the military. Please give them a big hand,” Mr Devda said, and gestured to the audience to clap, which they did.

Sharing a clip of Mr Devda’s speech, the Congress alleged the Deputy Chief Minister’s remarks were “outrageous” and insulting to the armed forces.

Mr Devda shot back, saying the Congress deliberately twisted his words as if to mean the military bows at the feet of PM Modi, which was clearly not what he said.

Today’s row comes days after insensitive comments made by Madhya Pradesh minister Vijay Shah on Indian Army officer Colonel Sofiya Qureshi led to his appointment with the Supreme Court, which ordered him to “go and apologise” to the army officer.

Mr Shah made the comments at a public address in Indore’s Raikunda village on May 12. The comments were widely perceived as communal, gendered, and derogatory toward Colonel Qureshi, a senior Indian Army officer who has become a mainstay in national press briefings on Operation Sindoor, often appearing alongside Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh.
